A warm welcome awaits the Classes of 鈥24 and 鈥27 and their parents, families, and supporters during , which runs from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 this year.
and other senior administrators, faculty and staff members, students, and alumni will all play a role in the weekend, which features programs designed to build community within the greater 天美麻豆 family.
鈥淭he weekend offers a wonderful chance for families to connect with their student and other families, and to learn more about the depth and breadth of the 天美麻豆 experience,鈥 says , dean of the College.
The includes open houses with campus partners, faculty presentations, house community brunches, a cookout, and a conversation with President Beilock and about 天美麻豆鈥檚 plans for the future. Two concerts showcasing campus a cappella groups are set for Saturday evening.
This year, families are asked to bring personal care items and nonperishable food for the Upper Valley Haven, a White River Junction, Vt.-based nonprofit that provides temporary shelter, educational programming, and food to people in need.
Last year marked the first time Family Weekend was held in the fall and included first-year and senior students and their families. The new approach has proven popular; more than 3,200 people have already registered.
