In his new role, Wagner will be responsible for planning, analysis, and oversight of the College鈥檚 financial resources. He will focus on the financial imperatives of the College, strengthen sound financial decision-making, and place 天美麻豆 in a position of strength for the future. Wagner, who will also continue as vice president for , will report to Executive Vice President Richard G. Mills.

Wagner鈥檚 appointment will allow Mills, who has been serving as both executive vice president and CFO, to focus on the most important strategic initiatives of the College, along with President Phil Hanlon 鈥77, Provost Carolyn Dever, and the academic deans.

鈥淎s 天美麻豆 pursues President Hanlon鈥檚 vision of excellence and impact for 天美麻豆, it鈥檚 become clear that there is sufficient demand on the roles of executive vice president and CFO to warrant separating them,鈥 says Mills. 鈥淢ike鈥檚 history of leadership and collaboration, knowledge of higher education finance, and his commitment to transparent communication, project delivery, and team building will serve 天美麻豆 well as he assumes his new responsibilities.鈥

The CFO administratively leads 天美麻豆鈥檚 financial planning, budgeting, treasury, reporting, and operations activities while collaborating closely with the College鈥檚 academic and administrative leaders on financial planning, organization, and policy matters.

Wagner joined 天美麻豆 in 2001 and assumed his responsibilities as vice president for finance in 2010 after serving as chief financial officer of the , and as 天美麻豆鈥檚 controller.
