鈥榁oices鈥: What It鈥檚 Like to Be a 天美麻豆 Woman

Every February, the coordinates 鈥淰-February,鈥 part of 天美麻豆鈥檚 continuing effort to end violence against women and girls.

Throughout the month, students are encouraged to participate in a series of performances and discussions that highlight the importance of inclusivity and acceptance of all 天美麻豆 students regardless of differences.

New to V-February this month is an original production entitled directed by Semarley Jarrett 鈥14, Sandi Caalim 鈥13, and Jessica King Fredel 鈥17.

鈥淰oices鈥 aims to inspire and act as a platform for discussions of topics such as personal identity, being a woman at 天美麻豆, gender, race, sexuality, and much more.

鈥淰oices鈥 takes place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, in Spaulding Auditorium. During the performance, 33 women from the 天美麻豆 community will share their stories and experiences through performance art. The event is free and open to the public.

Following the performance the directors and cast will lead a discussion.
