Pixar's latest sends an unusual kid obsessed with getting abducted by aliens on a cosmic misadventure. 

For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers鈥nd in Pixar's latest, the universe calls back! After an intergalactic council of aliens finds a Voyager spacecraft and its golden record, they attempt contact with Earth鈥攁nd Elio, under the guardianship of his aunt (Zoe Salda帽a) on an Air Force base, intercepts that message. Mistaken for the leader of humanity, Elio is sent on a cosmic misadventure to a new galaxy, where he hopes to find the sense of belonging missing on his home planet.

With echoes of The Wizard of Oz and bursting with a rainbow of imaginative delights, this animated family film explores why the idea of alien existence remains so compelling鈥攖o humans of all ages.
